Mobile allow you to scan and bag your groceries as you shop then just pay and go. You can also take advantage of exclusive offers available only to SCAN IT! users plus keep track of your spending as you shop to make budgeting easier. Now, you have a choice in how you choose to shop; with SCAN IT! or SCAN IT! Mobile.

How do I get the SCAN IT! Mobile app?

SCAN IT! Mobile is available for both the iPhone (3GS or 4) and Android. You can download the SCAN IT! Mobile application by visiting the App Store or Android Market and searching on "Scan it".

Where can I use the SCAN IT! Mobile application?

The SCAN IT! Mobile app is currently only available for use in select Stop & Shop stores. Available locations can be found here.

When will I be able to use the application at additional Stop & Shop locations?

Stop & Shop anticipates making the app available for use in additional store locations once all testing has been completed.

What are the benefits of using Scan it and now SCAN IT! Mobile?

SCAN IT! and SCAN IT! Mobile allow you to scan and bag your groceries as you shop, saving you time! Plus, when you use SCAN IT! or SCAN IT! Mobile you'll receive personalized offers and savings available only to SCAN IT! customers. SCAN IT! and SCAN IT! What happens if my battery dies or I have some other malfunction while using the SCAN IT! Mobile app?

Contact a store associate if you experience any issues while shopping with the app. The store associate can help you resume your shopping trip. If you need further assistance you may call the applicable help line.

Who do I contact if I have questions or problems downloading or using the application?

Stop & Shop has a full customer support team in place to assist any customer having difficulty downloading or using the application.

Do I need a Stop & Shop card to use SCAN IT! or SCAN IT! Mobile?

Yes. Your Stop & Shop card is used to determine your personalized offers. As a SCAN IT! customer, you'll be provided personalized offers that are selected just for you and by using your card you'll also be able to take advantage of all of our Weekly Specials and Real Deals.

Is this the same as the current Stop & Shop app?

No. SCAN IT! Mobile is a mobile version of SCAN IT!. It allows you to scan and bag your groceries as you shop then just pay and go. You can also take advantage of exclusive offers available only to SCAN IT! users plus keep track of your spending as you shop to make budgeting easier. The Stop & Shop app that was introduced earlier this year provides information such as your local circular, gas points and store locations.

Does this work on Android and all iPhones?

Currently, SCAN IT! Mobile is only for the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4. The Scan It application for Android runs on most standard Android Smart Phones. The application has been validated on the following Android 2.2 devices: Nexus One, Motorola Droid1, Samsung Galaxy, and HTC Thunderbolt 4G.

Can I use an iPod Touch or iPod?

No, you cannot as the application was developed for the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4.

How do I checkout and pay for my groceries?

Proceed to a self checkout lane, scan the "end of order" bar code posted at the register, scan your Stop & Shop Card and follow the on screen instructions to complete your transaction. Then just pay and go!
