Massachusetts Schools Receive More Than $778,000 through Stop & Shop's A+ School Rewards Program

Total of $2.5 Million Donated to Schools Across the Northeast

Quincy, Mass - Stop & Shop's A+ School Rewards program has generated more than $778,000 in its fourth year for schools in the state of Massachusetts. The program allows customers to earn points which translate into money for schools of their choice with each shopping visit using their registered Stop & Shop card.

This year, 1,238 schools in Massachusetts will benefit from the more than $778,000 earned to put forth to scholarships, technology, sports equipment, field trips and other educational needs. Amherst Regional High School in Amherst, MA was the top-earning school this year in the A+ School Rewards Program, receiving more than $21,000. Other top-earning schools in Massachusetts include:

  • McCarthy Middle School, Chelmsford - $15,378.53
  • Forestdale School, Forestdale - $15,289.32
  • Oak Ridge School, East Sandwich - $8,184.55
  • Seekonk High School, Seekonk - $7,584.94

In total, Stop & Shop is donating $2.5 million to more than 2,200 public and private schools for the 2012-2013 school year. Since the program launched in 2009, $7 million has been donated to local schools throughout the Northeast.
