Stop & Shop Alerts Customers to Voluntary Recall of Cedarlane Low Fat Bean Rice and Cheese Style Burritos
Product recalled due to undeclared casein (milk protein)
December 13, 2007, Landover, MD... Stop & Shop Supermarket Company, following a
voluntary recall by Cedarlane Natural Foods, announced it is recalling Cedarlane
Low Fat Bean Rice and Cheese Style Burritos available in 6 oz. plastic film wrapped
packaging as well as cartons of an 8 count, 6 oz. family pack. The product contains
casein, a milk protein, which is not declared on the label.
The burritos have a UPC code of 3879434777 and are marked with open code dates from
"062808A" (June 28, 2008) through "082908" (August 29, 2008). Upon hearing of the
announcement by Cedarlane Natural Foods, Stop & Shop immediately removed the item
for sale from its shelves.
