Stop & Shop Issues Voluntary Recall on Bagged Spinach, Some Bagged Salads After FDA Warning
(Quincy, MA - September 15, 2006) - Statement of Stop & Shop Supermarket Company
regarding FDA warning on serious foodborne E.coli O157:H7 outbreak from Faith Weiner,
Director of Public Affairs, Stop & Shop Supermarket Company:

contain spinach after the FDA released a warning on a foodborne E. coli O157:H7 outbreak
in bagged spinach in multiple states. We also have removed spinach from our self-serve
